I really love the Broadway version, and the song itself, but it doesn't fit in well with the actual TLK movie.
This. ^
I agree with everything that's been said before me and I used to friggin' HATE Morning Report, I like the scene that it replaced! :fret: Once I discovered the Broadway version I saw it in a new light.. Still too many mistakes though. :unforgiving: I actually never noticed the animation or Zazu's voice was different, but I did notice Simba's voice.

It's horrible. :/ The animation and way Simba was drawn do not fit in with the original! Of course the voice is different, too.

Stop adding and changing what's already fine, Disney. >_>

However, it's fine for the musical.

I think it is unnecessery, since they replaced a very good scene. Besides it is not nearly as good as the musical version, which I love. The film version is not good, I didn't like the singing voices of neither Zazu not Simba. I think they should have let the song stat in the musical where it belongs.

Annoying and unnecessary. They should have just left it. If they were going to include any new song it should have been "Endless Night" IMO.

In the musical it's fine but not in the film.

I love it! Its fun and whimsical and just adds a little more fun to that scene. The only thing that I can find wrong with it is the voice acting, its not terribly bad, just not as good as it was before. I never really though people did not like the scene.

It's not bad, per say, but it's not as good as the pouncing scene that it replaced. In the original theatrical run, we get a bit more goofy Mufasa-Simba father son bonding time, and in replace of it, we get Simba singing again at how much better he is than everyone else. "I Just Can't Wait To Be King" did that better, and we don't need another worse version of that. Not in place of more build-up with Mufasa, considering his fate.

I usually prefer to watch TLK without the Morning Report, mostly for nostalgic purposes. I do like the scene, though. I think the animation is really nice and lively, and I love Simba's voice. A lot. More so than his original singing voice. The energy of the whole thing is really great.

It does feel a little out of place, though.

I'll tolerate "The Morning Report", but it's not my favorite scene in the movie. I just felt it wasn't necessary and it doesn't have a true place in the movie. Although I did enjoy seeing Simba torturing Zazu during his pouncing lesson. :chuckle: But I don't like Simba's singing voice. I find his voice to be a little too high and slightly annoying.
