What Do You Think Really Killed Mufasa?

I would have laughed.
But it would have made the concept of death seem more real to them. Mufasa didn't truly die, as he still made appearances from beyond the grave and had a normal conversation with Simba and communicates regularly with Rafiki like he's still there. And even when Simba was singing We Are One, he gestured to his father's star and it twinkled in response.

Technically he can't die since he was never alive in the first place, and he's not dead for the entire movie, just half and then the sequel.

I know, but in the TLK Universe, he was supposed to die. I get what your saying, though. But I think it was most likely the wildebeasts that killed Mufasa because:

1) The wildebeasts would have broken bones and stabbed Mufasa
2) Trampled him
3) Every other reason I previously listed.

The TLK universe spands throughout the entire movie, as well as after and before them. So before the movies, Mufasa was very much alive.
