Kiara and Kovu managed to save themselves from the crocodiles before Simba or anyone else showed up, Simba never even knew about the crocodiles..
In my opinion, the Elephant Graveyard is the best scene. It’s way scarier and more sinister than the crocodile scene. Kiara and Kovus scene is just a simple action sequence, it was just a matter of getting to the other side of the swamp.
Siimba and Nala had to flee across a vast area, and they also lost track of their attackers, the Hyenas could attack from any direction. In the end, the cubs were cornered and utterly defensless.
Kiara and Kovu could easily escape once they reached dry land, the crocodiles were unable to follow them further.
Simba and Nala would without a doubt have been killed if Mufasa didn’t show up when he did. Kiara and Kovu didn’t need anyone to rescue them.
