We don't see Sarabi after Simba is backed off the cliff. I was wondering, why was Nala the only one who screamed for Simba when the lightning struck and he was hanging by paws.... O_o

I agree with Simba's post -" because Sarabi isn't blood royalty and only royalty by marriage, if there's someone of royal blood to take the throne she has to step down. if Scar hadn't been alive, then Sarabi would've kept her throne"

Sarabi got demoted when Scar took over the Pridelands. You also can't have a queen....and no king. That doesn't make any sense at all. And I think Sarabi would've passed the throne onto Simba anyways, since it was his time to become King.

thats a good point would serbabi actully want to remain in control after scar was gone. especilly as the new king is her son so surely her pride in her son would outweigh any feelings about wanting any form of power

There's one thing that's been bugging me the last day or so. When Simba arrives back in the Pridelands to overthrow Scar, Sarabi (the Queen) is obviously still alive. But once Simba defeats Scar, he and Nala take the throne. So... is it just tough luck for Sarabi? Game over? You're out? No soup for you? Just because Mufasa's gone, she loses her position? or did Simba and Nala wait until her death to take the throne, and I'm missing that?

No, quoting the script there is no mention of Sarabi throughout, we neither see her character mentioned in the character list, so... does she die in the gap between TLK and SP?
