Race Difference between Mufasa and Scar

Scar and Mufasa looks vastly different because Scar is modeled after a lion character from an older show named Claw, who is a dark-maned, dark-complexioned villain with one messed up eye who tries to take over the hero's kingdom with his hyena minions. To more relate the film to 'Hamlet,' they simply snapped their fingers and stated 'they're going to be brothers.' More proof of this is Scar being younger than Mufasa, although he looks older, apparently feels older, and is physically weaker but more clever. I think if Scar wasn't based of Claw they would have made him bulkier, still have a black man but overall have more of a connection with Mufasa.

i dont think they're different races. their parents look different, therefore have different features. pridelander and outlander isnt a race either. they're communities. Scar is actually a pridelander, he was never kicked out from the pridelands. a lion is a pridelander by living with and in the pridelands, the outlanders are outlanders by living outside of the border of the pridelands where there is no food and barely no water. and they cant be two different races and have extreme genetic differences and born from the same parents. its impossible.

Why does the OP say that Scar is an Outlander? He`s just as much a Pridelander as Mufasa.

As for race difference, I don`t think that`s true here. Mufasa and Scar are brothers, and their vast difference in looks is due to pure symbolism, not racism.

There were no Outlanders at the time when Mufasa was alive, since the entire kingdom was united under him and only him.

As for the "racial differences," just think about cats. One could have a white pelt, and one could have a black pelt, but they can still be the same type of cat. Just because Scar's fur is darker doesn't mean anything other than genetics.

Now if you want to talk racism, just take a look at Shenzi, Banzai, and Ed. Don't get me started on them...

Well, basically it's simply genetics, here's why: James Earl Jones is african american, and Mufasa is a light pelted lion. Then when you see Scar, Jeremy Irons is white, and Scar's pelt color is dark. Definately not races.
