Yep. Seems like Simba is a fast learner.. I don’t think he had much fighting-training growing up, though.. Considering he lived with Timon and Pumbaa, lol.

It’s quite possible Nala actually invented this move on her own.. considering she had perfected it at such a young age..

I think it's a move all young lionesses betrothed to a prince have to learn.

Since there's a 100 IB weight difference and male lions like to tackle this could be useful if Simba was usurped and the new king would want Kiara out of the way to make room for his own cubs. Nala would use the weight difference to her advantage. To secure herself and her cub.

I just can't figure out how Nala managed to get from her back to flying around in midair so easily XD It's such a cute move either way <3

well, lions in real life learn the skills they need as adults from playing as young cubs. I figured Disney took that and turned it into this. plus, it was the reason they used for Simba to recognize her.

Nala, having already learned the move as a cub, had learned how to make use of such play in her adult life. whereas Simba never learned this properly because he left the pride at a young age and missed out on much of the skill-building play he needed as a lion. it was in the jungle that he finally managed to pin Nala, after rolling down the hill. seeing at last how to do it, he was able to make use of it during his fight with Scar...although it was amazing Simba did as well as he did having been raised away from the pride without proper learning opportunities.

however she came about doing it, I've always loved it my cat had a way of doing that when I was really little, so of course it would remind me of the movie and I'd grab him up, pin him on the floor, and shout "Pinned ya!"

yeah, probably not the best idea in most circumstances. although, I did pull it off really well once at the risk of serious injury to myself and the other person. I was somewhere around 9-11 years old and the notion entered my head when either Anansi or my cousin was sitting on the edge of the couch neither of us were hurt, luckily, but whoever it was was quite startled lol.

lol, true true. but it still probably let him get an idea of how it was properly done to use it later in the fight with Scar.
