Why Zira blames Kovu never made any sense to me. :hmm:

Because she wanted him to believe he had killed his brother, just as Scar had killed his brother before. Plus she was already mad at him, think about it: if he had killed Simba as he was supposed to then Nuka wouldn't have chased Simba and thus wouldn't have died, in effect Kovu could have prevented it.

I felt sad for Nuka. He got little love little attention. And he gets all excited to kill Simba BOOM a log hits him and he dies. I dont thing he had a great life. Covered in fleas and all he wanted to do was show his mother he was brave and strong but it didn't work out!

I think the general consensus was that he was trying to prove to his mother that he should have been The Chosen One, not Kovu and his death was just a tragic turn of events.

If he was trying to prove he was the chosen one then why'd he say "This is for you mother!"?
Looks like he was trying to get his mother's attention to me.

I didnt cry, but I'm not really a Nuka fan, but neither am I a Zira fan but so yeah I think it would be Zira's fault for his death

Actually, he was doing both at the same time. He was trying to get Ziras attention and approval by killing Simba, and so proving that he could accomplish what Kovu could not.. Thus making Nuka the better choice..

Uh, yeah, exactly. Who else would Nuka be trying to prove himself too? >.> If anyone would anoint him as being the new Chosen One, it would have to be Zira herself so I don't think you're really understanding my point here. :)

But would that be a bad thing? LAst i checked she wanted him to be more like Scar....

But Kovu really couldn't have done anything. He probably would've died himself if he had jumoed down there.

I didn't cry at Nuka's death, but everyone makes very good points as well. Despite being the firstborn, his life wasn't really that great. Covered in fleas, barely fed, and vastly ignored. All he really wanted was for Zira to show him true affection, love. His birthright was merely a bonus if if granted. I agree with everyone when they say it was extremely sad that he truly had to give up everything for his mother to notice him, though. Much like Kovu, however, Nuka's negative emotions and opinions were cultured rather than taken care of - Thus resulting in it being Zira's fault that her son died.

I think the story would've been more interesting if Vitani had died.

Don't get me wrong. She's a cool character.

But then if Vitani died the outlander might not have joined the pride landers cause shes the one that goes "no mother enough's enough" or something like that :D
