Haha in TLK my family tree, their daughter has a dark mark over her eye, that looks like a scar and everyone's all like D: oh noes! she has the mark of dooom!

Zira doesn't have a scar.

As for Scar and Kovu, they just freakin' got them like anyone else in the world!! You got a problem with that?

It shows that they are living rough and really in a way Disney tends to make the villains look evil..so scars+disney=evil behaviour.
Whilst the Pridelanders are not.

Although the only place where Zira does have a scar would be that big chunck out of her ear.

if this is inside the story, I would say that the scars that they got were because they got hurt by something or someone

well duhh I think the reason why Taka/scar has his is to make him look more intemidating and evil....and the reason Kovu has his is to show that he is becomeing Scar

I think it’s because they’be been in battles.. Either with other Outlanders, rogues or even Pridelanders..

Common sense says they were attacked or injured, really. Zira is missing a hunk out of her ear, while Scar and Kovu have one across their eyes. Both of the latter have a fair amount of symbolism in them, though.

Kovu got his scar from Zira, though. She slashed his face in anger after Nuka died, blaming it on Kovu..
