Who was the better king?

Mufasa, because he taught Simba the wise lessons and guided him, even as a ghost. Even when Simba himself becomes a father, he referres to his father towards Kiara. Even Kiara tells him when she's grown up: "you'll never be Mufasa!" because in SP, Simba's still trying to be the way Mufasa was.

I would have to say Mufasa as well. Mostly cause when Simba became king he wasn't very use to the position. Plus like you said he kept trying to be like his dad and it kept backfiring on him. So yeah I would say Mufasa was the better king. But I still think Simba is the overall better character.

I find it surprising that I'm the only one here who believes Simba is the better King. Come on, Simba had to deal with civil unrest that Mufasa could only fear in his dreams until Scar assassinated him. Simba had to deal with a schism and a civil war and with the help of the rest of the royal family, found a way to resolve it peacefully. But hey, just my opinion.
