yeah, it sure spoiled the tiny bit of TLK that was in that "movie."
Even Mickey Mouse walked in there! WTH!! I recognized his silhouette by his ears *muahaha*

true, and that's exactly why I don't like that movie.
TLK used to be just nature and animals, no human stuff involved....I mean, African animals in a cinema, and then Mickey friggin' Mouse walks in! Were they on stuff or something :disgust:

nopes, it was like a commercial break, everytime they putted that cinema stuff on. At one time they even "changed the channel" and you saw a humans movie (some show or thing)
it was ment as a joke but it really annoyed the crap out of me. :headache:

Cinema silhouettes in a "TLK" movie?? A big shame, or as I rather call it: Unworthy the title: The Lion King!
Let me ask you this; How would you like to see a couple of blundering clowns act like they were peforming in a circus arena, when the movie would be all about horror?? (For example like the Chainsaw Massacre..) It would totally ruïn the atmosphere of the movie itself.

It just did not belong in such a "movie" in my opinion..
Besides: Didn't T&P already had enough attention for themselves with their cartoon-series?? Why wasting an entire classic to them, like that?? :wha: Sounds like really cheap rushed out money milking plot to me. :disgust2:

Only thing I liked is the bits with young Simba in it, especially letting Timon suffer like what serves him right. Darn-puny-wannabe-mister- big-mouth-arrogance-himself! For the sake of realism: T&P should have been killed in the final fight, as depicted in the original TLK-1 movie. Pure prey-animals don't belong in the midst of a lion pride. Nor would both have survived the Hyena clash in the end.
Heck they'd even gave Rafiki a safe place to stay in his baobab away from the lions! And that darn meerkat and warthog would survive sleeping amongst those predatory animals?? Don't make me laugh!!

Remember, There was a time of great famine when Simba regained the Pridelands. Lions are not outstanding tree-climbers, so the first thing that had to go, were that pesky Meerkat, and his beefed up Warthog collegue! So that's another point of wasting precious TLK title time to those two wannabe clowns!

I feel that my answer will be taken as bias as I dislike the movie so much but, the silhouttes in the cinema just ruined the whole atmosphere of watching what is supposed to be a ''nice'' movie.
What irritated me the most was the pauses, the fast forwarding and the karoke during the Hakuna Matata song.

That was the most irritating moment of the movie! When I first time saw it, I actually thought that someone changed the channel..
But otherwise those silhouettes didn't really annoy me. I just tried to enjoy the movie.

The film is not the worst, but that with the animals in a cinema is right.
I like the movie because we learns more about Simba's childhood.
