8 reasons why Vitani and Nuka are NOT Scar's children

I saw that cap that someone posted in another thread. I hope I don't cross the line but I do know that werbereus (sp?) is a DIE HARD Scar/Zira shipper. Fine. We all have our fantasies and head canon. What I don't like is when something that doesn't really have concrete evidence is heralded as fact. Earlier this year when I was looking for fora, I swear there were fans out there who really believed that Nuka was Scar's or that Vitani was his daughter. I thought 'What the hell?'

As far as I remember, he had none. What was interesting to me was why were some people so....religious about it. LOL!

I will leave you with quote my professor at community college once asked the class about the Great Awakening:

Why do people get defensive over religion? Because they hold onto something they cannot prove.

And cue the hate.
Death is a challenge. It tells us not to waste time… It tells us to tell each other right now that we love each other.

Zira was first meant to be Scar's mate but they changed her to be just Scar's follower at the middle of the movie's production (this is confirmed by SP director Darrel Rooney) That also probally explains why that deleted scene was removed. So, bringing up that deleted scene is invalid.

And Nuka still didn't say he is Scar's son. He just thought he should be Scar's heir because he is the oldest of Zira's cubs only, and not Scar's cubs. Also, It makes no sense if the SP creators would make it clear to the audience that Scar isn't kovu's father, but not that Vitani and Nuka are Scar's kids and just leave the audience to figure that out for themselves whitout ever giving them a confirmation.[/quote]
CGW was right -- I was agreeing with you (I think my accidentally italicizing "you" instead of "could" in one sentence might have changed its meaning somewhat --- sorry about that). I was just pointing out how even in that deleted scene, there's nothing implying that Vitani and Nuka are Scar's cubs. I then brought up some fans' "interpretations" of why neither of them call Scar "father", then brought up how other fans might argue against them. I'm not trying to claim any view as the "right" one, I was just describing some of the ways people choose to run with the concept.

(I also never brought up Zira's relationship to Scar, since it didn't seem that relevant to the discussion.)

Why hate? I thought that was common knowledge lol. But yes it can be applied to anything as well as religion, if people hear that X is Ys father, they will believe it if the person telling them fails to make it clear that it is an opinion, even if there is evidence, evidence and actual proof are still two different things.

But this is getting more off topic by the second now lol.
Still it is fun to think of things that COULD counter the points, regardless of whether or not you believe in them or now - I may try to think of a few possibilities at some point soon, just for the fun / challenge of it.
