Was Zazu's role necessary for SP?

Personally I think Zazu should have been in SP more because he is the majordomo which is an important job. And like everyone else, I think it would have been weird if he wasn't in it at all.

Yes, I think it was. He`s an important servant and help to Simba, which is proven several times in the movie.

It`s Zazu who warns Simba about the Outlanders invading.

It`s Zazu who spots Kovu rescuing Kiara and flies to tell Simba.

And it`s already been mentioned the point where Zazu reminds Simba of "royal protocole."

I was 100% satisfied with Zazu's role in SP. He is definitely necessary, but I'm glad he didn't have very many lines because in the very few scenes he DID speak, you could clearly tell that it wasn't Rowan Atkinson. It's just not the same character without him. They even modeled Zazu after Rowan, and he has such a distinct voice that is pretty hard to mimic. I would have liked a song with him, like in IJCWTBK, but it's pretty obvious why there wasn't.

But yeah, I was satisfied.
