Age Differences - Kovu and Kiara

I have heard this theory before, but if Kovu is that much older than Kiara he would be significantly bigger that her. Kiara doesn't seem that much smaller than Kovu.

Huh, intresting. Well, I guess it'd make sence if Zira adopted Kovu right before Simba took over.

I reckon about 3 months older. If Kovu was the last born, before Simba returned, it'd make sense. Lionesses are pregnant for 3 months, so assuming that Nala and Simba did you know what after he became King, and including the time for the Pridelands to regenerate i.e get all green again, 3 months would be plausible. So say if Kiara is 6 months in Simba's Pride, Kovu would be 9 months, almost approaching adolescense hence the hair tuft. Lions aren't fully grown until they're a tleast 2-3 years old.

True, but then the size difference between Kovu and Kiara would be major one. There is no way that they would be so close to the same size.

Well, he might just be kind of a small lion. Granted, he wasn't fully grown by the end, but he seemed kind of small to me.

Or the other option, they were born around the same time. Could also be plausible, cubs aren't presented to the pride until they're at least 6 weeks. Maybe they're the same age. Kovu could even be a week older than her. Who knows eh?

I don't think Kovu is undersized in any way, Zira would not have wanted to use him if he was below average in any way. I think when Kovu is full grown he will be as big as Simba.

I think that Kovu was adopted but he didn't know that and Zira was making him think that he was her cub

Personally, I think there's a 5 month age difference between Kovu and Kiara. I reckon Kovu was about as old as baby Simba at the start of The Lion King when Simba returned from his self-exile. This would be old enough for Scar to judge if he is physically fit to be his successor. So, maybe, he would be six weeks old, perhaps.

I've also heard lionesses are pregnant with a litter of cubs for 3 months. From up to Simba's ascension to being king and the birth of Fluffy/Kiara, I would estimate at least 5 months passed during the replenishing of the Pridelands. So, Nala's pregnancy with Kiara could fit easily into that period of time. 6-7 weeks after Kiara is born, she is presented, and by that time, Kovu would a six-month old cub.

Another six months pass for Kiara to be a full-grown lion cub, and Kovu, being 5-6 months older, is close to being a year old. Remember cub Kovu is older than cub Simba evident by his thin ear rims, which indicates he is starting to mature into an adolescent. Finally, the only reason I can think of as why Kovu is undersized is because of the lack of food and water in the Outlands as explained by Zira. So, Kovu barely has anything in his stomach to support his bodily system.
