Okay, well, seeing as I'm anciently old already, as far as being on an LK forum goes I suppose, I wasn't exactly a young cubby when I first saw TLK, but that might have been a good thing for me. ^^ I was 11 years old when TLK hit theaters. I know, months before it even was released, I was excited to see it, since I've always had an unnatural obsession and fascenation with lions.

So I begged my parents to take me to the opening day showing. ^^ Much to my surprise, they actually gave in, which was quite rare of them to do, since they weren't exactly the most generous of parents when it came to things that they saw as being "wants" instead of "needs", lol. ^^ Anyways, I saw TLK on opening day of June 24, 1994, and was completely enraptured by the story, characters and music of it all. ^^ It was like the only movie I went to go see, where my focus wasn't solely on the popcorn and soda beside me. Yeah, I had a pretty shallow mind back then but TLK totally changed that. hehe. ^^ After the movie was over, I made it a point to go see it every weekend that followed, or at least, the weekends when I actually had enough money to buy a ticket. lol. I was bummed when the local theater pulled the movie after a few months but I had seen it numerous times by then so I was happy. ^^ Then, around my b-day of 95, TLK was coming out on VHS, so once more, I begged my parents to buy it for me, stating that it could be my only b-day gift for that year. lol. Worked like a charm too.

I got the VHS and watched it, quite literally, to death. hehe. ^^
(mourns the fallen VHS tape)
Anyways, after that, I remained a loyal fan to TLK, although I missed the iMax release of the movie, due to being in a not so good emotional state after breaking up with my ex-lioness of almost five years. >.> Other than that though, I've pretty much seen every new TLK addition, with the acception of the Broadway show, since I never have the time or money to go see it. lol. Maybe one of these days though. <.<
