Did Zira Commit Suicide?!

But that doesn't sound like something Zira would do.

She could have been smirking in a way that was meant to disturb Kiara in hopes that this would haunt her the rest of her life. Or this could be a way of saying that it wasn't over yet. (even though I have no idea what she would mean by that)
Anyway...why would Disney keep that part because if you know that its there, you can easily find it.
Well, they probably kept that part (Zira falling with a smile on her face) so they wouldn`t have to draw/animate her fall all over again. The animation of Zira falling was ready, so when they changed the scene, they wanted to save themselves a lot of work..

This was only a concept idea, not an actual fact. Disney thought it was too dark for the film, so, as PrincessKiara mentioned, they just didn't want to re-animate the whole part over again and kept the smile in there.

Than Disney must be lazy.

I beleive that, even if Disney didn't want to read-animate the scene, they should of because now (and I'm probably one in alot of other people) whenever I watch that scene, her smile is easily visible. Even if I'm thinking of somthing else and not focusing on it, its easily spotted.

Thats just shows how easily a little five-year old (or 6 or 4 ect.) could easily see it if they wanted to.

So wouldn't that disturb the kid? The kid would go up to their mom and say, "Mommy, the bad guy killed herself!"
Than the mom (or dad) would probably become either paranoid about Disney movies or ban the kid from watching the movie ( :( )

But it would still be funny to see the look on the parents face

I've been wondering about it. I'm not sure about the smile, but I think she possibly commited suicide because she knew that the other lionesses joined the other side, and there would be no one to join her.

Very true. She was betrayed. And, being a skilled fighter, she probably knew that she should make her death seem like an accident to avoid having to surrender. She probably gave up fighting and just resided to dying at the moment anyway.
She also knew she would be with Scar.

I still think its creepy though :ehh2:

I think she did kill herself, it was just cut (like Mufasa getting trampled by wildabeests; they didn't show it, but you can pretty much generalize what happened :/)

Yeah. Was the Mufasa being trampled by wildebeasts thing a cut scene? If so, is there a link to is somewhere?

Zira's suicide was a cut scene but you can still see her smiling. Its a bit creepy o_o
