I Was just watching Mufasa's Funeral and i just got so sad inside when i saw Rafiki sitting in the tree and a tear drops from his eye,i felt so sorry for him who was there when Simba was born,and just wiping that drawing of him of the tree just made it that more emotional :cry:

Never really thought about that. Yes, it must have been such a shame that such a young cub with so much potential to be a great king could just die like that. I bet that's how Raf must have felt.

It's a great symbol, too bad it ends up being obscurred in Rafiki's grief.

It is quite emotionally symbolic and a good way of the film makers to give us a good visual metaphor
