Where was Sarabi in TLK2?

I thought she was in it but didn't have a speaking role. So accidentally some of the lionesses resemble her appearance, I don't think that was intentional but I think because of it, fans can choose whether or not they think she was there.
I mean Mufasa was in the film even though he was dead. So I think it is reasonable to believe Sarabi was "there" one way or another anyway.

This is an interesting topic, as I have never really thought about it this in-depth.

I always thought that Sarabi was the lioness that says to Kiara, "My, how you've grown.". But now that I look at that lioness she is missing Sarabi's colored paws and her ear rims, as TLP stated. I also noticed that Sarabi is a bit more of a sand color, whereas that lioness is tawny and a darker brown. It could be Sarabi, and they forgot maybe her colors. Disney did get lazy with these two pictures of Kovu because they are replicas and are switched around:

I will just dismiss that, because there is proof as Mrs Depp and Regulus said: Sarabi's voice actor died before the production of TLKSP started. I'm just going to go with that.

A lot of the first Lion King was about Simba establishing his relationship with Mufasa. Sure, Sarabi was there, but the real focus was on Simba and his dad. This is why in the SP intro, when Mufasa is looking down and smiling, it's just Mufasa and not Mufasa and Sarabi.

She may have passed away, she was old by the time Simba returned, Scar had hit her and she went down quite easily. It's likely that she was old and frail by the time Simba returned.

Lions don't live long enough for her to have been there when Kiara was grown up, the sad truth that is And we never saw the whole Pride onscreen when Kiara was a cub.

I usually assumed that Sarabi must have died later on in her life since she was getting older and from the previous generation or must have been a background lioness. I can't actually prove it, but those are my theories. To not include her, I can understand in order to pay respect to Madge Sinclair after her passing.
