If I hear one more person dissing fan theories I will throw Scar at someone. fan theories are legitimate contributions to the fandom and its discussions. That includes discussions and debates on this site. If you have a problem with it, you can go somewhere that doesn't allow these discussions and see how you like it there. That is all.

I have no problem with fan theories; the LK universe is littered with unanswered questions that fans can have fun speculating. But, my comment was directed at Sillydog's statement that "Sarabi's parents are royalty", which he is claimed as a fact. However, Sarabi's parents nor their social status is never mentioned in the films at all, so therefore he is saying his theory is a confirmed fact.

I just wouldn't let him get away with that false statement without being challenged. That is all.

Even if you don't believe the theory of Mufasa being Nala's father, there is still the other theory that Sarafina and Sarabi were sisters. We know for a fact that Sarabi's parents were royalty, and if Sarafina was her sister it makes her royal by default as well.

Quit oozing your fan theories as facts. When during the movie, did it state Sarabi's parents were of royalty? Sarabi is only mufasa's queen consort, because she was obviously bethrothed to Mufasa.

When did it say that her parents were (not) of royalty? Its not stated in the film, so neither side can claim it as fact tbh =/

And on the topic, he would have to have another cub, or pass on royalty to another family. Kiara will be queened anyway, in royalty it is not optional, if there is no heir in succession, it shifts to the very next royal family member / descendant. There is always an heir though, hence the term monarchy not family, which covers more than just the immediate family. Most cases, there are literally 100+ - 1000+ possible descendants in a monarchy.

How do we know anything about Sarabis parents? Nothing about them is mentioned in the movie or any Disney TLK book I personally have read.

Yeah, I know! I mentioned Simba and Nala mating again when I began this topic. And yes, lions do have a litter of cubs, and usually two to five cubs according to this source. I'm positive that most of the lions in the movies (besides Zira and Mufasa and Scar's parents) are given one cub because any additional siblings to a character would serve no role in the story. Plus, the lions in the movies are humanized, and most couples have one child at a time.
