Simba's bad dream

You know that famous "Actually, I had a bad dream..." Simba said when he was cub.

I always wondered what that dream was about. Maybe he dreamed of his father? What do you think?

That's what I automatically assumed when I saw the film. I imagine that it was probably a nightmare concerning his father's death, or perhaps simply his guilt (in his thinking that it was his fault).

I think it's safe to assume it was about Mufasa.

I guess he dreamt again and again about that day...

Yeah, I also think he must have dreamed about something regarding his father's death in some fashion.

or he could have dreamed about him going back to pride rock and being cast out

Yes, I think it was about his father. We all have those kind of bad dreams that haunt us.

I , when I was younger just thought it was a normal kiddy dream due to the light hearted-ness of the film.

Maybe Scar summoned wildebeests to kill him or Timon and Pumbaa turning into wildebeests and killing him!
Or he died the same way his father did!

He probably dreamt about a lot of bad things. Mufasa dying, Sarabi hating him for "killing" Mufasa, worrying if Scar would tell the others Simba was "responsible", Nala missing him, the Hyenas finding him, Timon and Pumbaa abandoning him. He's had it pretty rough for a Disney prince.
