Zira's ear hole

True, WhiteFang. Its similiar to Scar's scar as he has a lash over his eye, and the film alone never mentioned how he received it. It's just there, as that's why they probably call him just Scar.

However, my theory is she got it when she was a cub, and was attacked by a predator (hyena or jackal) that tried to eat her. Luckily, she was saved by her father, and noticed the predator ran away eating a chunk of her ear.

I'm thinking that one of the possibilities would be that she got that hole from a hunter, as in from a rifle. That came first to mind because in the 2nd Madagascar movie Alex's father had the same hole in the ear and he got it from an encounter with humans, so why not consider the possibility with Zira as well...

Madagascar had humans as part of it's plot. But The Lion King is supposed to be timeless, which means that it will work at any time period when lions exist. But guns are a fairly recent invention (reliable guns), so to have them be the cause of Zira's hole would remove a major timeless element in the movie. If a gun created her ear-hole, then The Lion King could really only happen within the last two or three hundred years. But it can't be older than that. Not very timeless, if you ask me.

Humans don't belong in The Lion King, because we are a technological species, and technology is not timeless. It evolves very quickly.

I know that it's supposed to be timeless, but that's because lions as we see them now haven't really changed much for thousands of years, as opposed to human's evolving technologically, inventing guns and such. But back on subject,it might have been an arrow or a spear or something, I'm suggesting this as to the fact that it's a pretty even circle. But the more I think of it,as even circle is something that is probably easier to draw than some cut in the ear.
