Wildebeest

I think it's the gorge that made more impact on Simba than the wildebeest themselves.
The gorge can be seen at SP too, and is the place where the final battle takes place (on the edge of the gorge that is about to flood)
I think this is a very symbolistic place, since the reason Simba hates Zira so much is created in this gorge: Scar killed his father there.
The wildebeest have no further role in the movies, maybe there's something to read in the books about them? I know the gorge in mentioned in several picture books, but no wildebeest seen with a role.....

I agree with TG, I belive that the gorge has affect Simba more than just the wildbeest

I went to find that story about Simba and the Wildebeest again, here is it :)

'Prey Upon the Spirit'
http://snowlands.ru/en/library/short-novels/view/77.htm

It's a good read, it is short so it doesn't take long, well worth it ^^

I think, the wildebeest really didn't do anything but run, they didn't want to be eaten by the three hyenas!

Probably as a cub. But when he was older i guess he let it go without letting his father go. Plus the lionesses were the hunters

Yeah. But if I were Simba, I'd rip the wildebeast apart, then kick dirt on top of it

The wildebeast chased Simba in the Stampede. Simba was traumatized.

They didn't chase him in intentionally, they were running from the hyenas. I highly doubt that he would be permenantly traumatised by that.
