Interesting find. It's sorta natural.. We all experience similar moments in our life where we don't want to face the truth and try to convince ourselves we are right when we know we're not. It doesn't surprise me that Simba would do the same in such a situation.

You mean like ignorance? As in believing in your own opinion so much that it is correct in your mind if not the reality? Yep I get like that on rare occasion too and I think that is exactly what is going on here.
