TLK 1 1/2 tried but failed to protect the sanctity of TLK

Nah, I wouldn't take TLK3 seriously if I were you. There was no waterfall at the end of the gorge in the original to begin with.. See, even Timon and Pumbaa went through the desert in TLK3, despite knowing that the Pride Lands were just near the jungle. There must have been no way to go back through the waterfall in TLK3. But then again, why didn't cub Simba end up in the waterfall too if there was no desert in the end of the gorge... Ugh, just forget about it. @_@ The point of TLK3 is to have some laughs after seeing scenes of TLK in a different way, aka a parody.

Just so wrong, the desire to exploit the TLK series to produce more money is ok just as long as the creators produce a decent movie. It just bugs me that TLK 3 does so much to destroy the story line of TLK

Totally agreed.

Anyway... I think the gorge was far from Pride Rock, somewhere in the borders of Pride Lands, and the Hakuna Matata was something like a days running trip (by adult lion, Pumbaa could've crossed it faster) from Pride Lands. It can't be much closer without the lionesses finding it earlier during Scar's sucky reign. I mean they must have wandered out of Pride Lands sometimes when food just wasn't available inside the borders anymore. Yet if it was much further, there is no way Simba could've got that close to it as a cub.

Yup most probably a mistake in TLK 3 / 1/2. However, in Kingdom Hearts, the jungle is also not particularly far from Pride Rock... This is probably more of a design choice in the game than a mistake though.

I'm not so postively sure how the distance is exactly abstracted from those 3 different places. I don't really care about this certain fact about the distances.

This is just fun extrapolation to express how much we care about details, it's not whether it matters, it's that we want to decide for ourselves.
Well...considering how many other things they messed up in TLK3 (No offence to anyone who likes it),I reckon it's all a mistake, but I could be wrong.
I think the same thing. I don't think you were wrong though. Disney and its mistakes XD
