Your TOP10 favorite moments in this film

NOTE!!! Not favorite scenes, but moments. Shortish moments. Also, tell us why, so that this wouldn't be just a plain listing.

Mine:

1.) At Mufasa's body when Scar tells Simba "Run, far away and never return." and Simba looks up at him wide eyed and horrified, turns and runs away, still looking back. But this is only in the Finnish dubbings wherein Scar's voice actor has such an intensity in his tone when he says those words. It's truly chilling and extremely intense. Jeremy irons just doesn't reach that level of intensity.

2.) Simba pulling at Mufasa's ear in the Under the Stars scene and how they then look into each others eyes, smiling - and finally when Simba lets go of his ear and moves to lie on the top of his head, Muffy's expression is so... like Simba's warpped him around his little finger or something. That moment is sooo cute and Muffy's expression shows so clealy how utterly happy he is that he has a son like Simba.

3.) Mufasa's ghost... Either the moment when they show him beginning to form into the coulds and SImba is somewhere down there looking reeeeally small. Or the moment when he's already all in colors and 3D and they show close-up of Simba's face, his eyes filled with sorrow and awe. Beautiful moment! Also the how sorry he looks when he exclaims "How can I go back? I'm not who I used to be." AGH, I love the entire scene to bits!!!! <3<3<3

4.) Baby Simba's ceremony; the moment when all the animals bow down to Simba. And his baby sneeze and the moment when Rafiki lifts him up and all the animals go cheering and celebrating the baby prince. ^__^

5.) Simba and Nala making faces at Zazu during IJCWTBK.

6.) Simba trying to catch the mole during Morning Report. It's just sooo cute and finally we get to see him actually play like the little kitty he is. Plus his mischievous expression as he prepares to leap at the mole while Muffy watches him, but then he just hits his head on a rock is even cuter.

7.) Scar throwing Mufasa off the cliff. The very moment when he's dug his claws into his paws and sllooowly gets close up to Muffy's face with an evil expression, saying "Long live the king" and the we get that awesome close-up shot of how he throws him off the cliff. I hate that Muffy died but still, that moment is awesome in some way.

8.) Distressed and horrified Simba trying not to get crushed by the gnus, all lost in the stampede and then Muffy appears with an intense look, picks him up and away just before a gnu falls down exactly where Simba was two seconds ago.

9.) Adult Simba and Nala drinking water, being all ackward and the lyrics they sing in their minds. Both english and finnish versions. English version being better.

10.) When all beasty-looking Nala leaps at stuck Pumbaa and Timon whhose expression is priceless, but then suddenly all beasty-looking Simba leaps in and he and Nala fight very beastily without regognizing each other. It's just too cool and brings well in both true friendship and wild life.

My favorite moments are:
1-The first ceremony
2-The "I just can't wait to be king" part
3-When Mufasa explains to Simba that the kings of the past look down at them from the stars
4-When Simba comes close to Mufasa's dead body
5-The hakuna matata scene
6-When Simba, Timon and Pumbaa are watching the stars and giving their opinion of what the stars "are"
7-When Nala and Simba reunite again
8-The "can you feel the love tonight" part
9-When Rafiki takes Simba to Mufasa's spirit and it talks to Simba "Remember"
10- The new king takes his place and the final ceremony
These are my favorite moments from Lion king because I think that in some way, they gave so much power to the movie and made it what it was and what it still is today.

My moments are, counting down:
10. Timon doing the hula.
9. When Simba and Nala are playfighting and Nala pins him.
8. When Timon says "what`s a motto with you". Love the word game
7. When Simba`s slowly walking up to the pride rock to claim the throne.
6. When Zazu says they`re betrothed.
5. When Nala`s getting a bath and Simba greets her.
4. When Mufasa is talking from the clouds, "remember who you are".
3. I just can`t wait to be king, when they are running between the elephants.
2. When Nala realizes it`s really Simba. In the norwegian dub, when Nala says "whoa", she says in norwegian "ja" in such a happy way.
1. After Simba and Nala have rolled down the hill until we see Timon`s teary face. During "Can you feel" of course.

SO hard to narrow it down to just 10 lol. Seriously, my list started out with 23 favorite moments >.<

lol, anyway, my fave TLK moments, starting with my absolute favorite and going down:
1. Adult Simba ascending Pride Rock after the fight for the Pridelands. SO. EPIC. *.*
3. The moment right at the end of Circle of Life, when the camera is zooming away from Simba and Rafiki and all the animals are bowing.
4. The moment when Simba rests his tiny paw in Mufasa's much larger pawprint. That picture is worth a thousand words, seriously.
5. When Scar watches Simba fleeing and says in a monotonous voice, "Kill him." SO creepy. And suddenly epic music cues as the hyenas race to obey his order.
6. Cubby Nala slipping down the elephant bones, and Simba goes down to save her by slashing Shenzi across the face, putting his own life in danger of course.
7. Nala and Simba making faces at Zazu during IJCWTBK.
8. Adult Nala pausing from drinking water to watch whatever the heck Simba wants to do to impress her. It's adorable <3
9. Simba trying to run after the rapidly disappearing clouds that are Mufasa's ghost. I actually feel really bad for him there
10. In IJCWTBK, when Simba slides down the giraffe's neck and sings "Standing in the spotlight!"
