Using previous memberHQ threads system

Hi! Welcome to the Feedback forum.
Before reading anything or asking anything; please check out the FAQs. Your question might be in there. However if you want a better understanding after reading the FAQs, like if it didn't explain it good enough, then by all means ask your question.

Please read the following before posting in this forum...

In this forum you will see an Announcement, and several "sticky" topics. The announcement is the Universal Board Rules. If you are new, read this before doing anything else! The sticky topics will stay above and separated from normal user-made topics in the forum. This is because they outline important information about the board. If you see a sticky topic concerning your issue, please reply with your question or concern in the correct topic. Moderators will see your reply within these topics. Before asking your question, be sure to read the topic and its first page especially. It contains information about your issue that is valuable and may even answer your questions. If the topic does not answer your question, ask your question within the topic, not the forum. If no sticky topic concerns your issue, then you are welcome to ask your own questions by creating a new topic within the forum.

Thank you for keeping the Board Help forum organized!
No in fact you are taking the wrong assumption. I am saying that totalitarianism is when you force upon people to do as you wish regardless of what your people believe and feel. To establish rules based on what few believe while the majority is against it.
Totalitarianism is when the government (or in this case the mods) controll everything, literally everything. MLK is FAR FROM THAT.

This is like a backup check before immigrants can enter the country. Something most if not all developed countries do!
BAWWW DUDE I CAN'T REALLY DO 50 POSTS, *has 6874 posts where most are from the den and memberhq*

Dude, how is that even strict?, lol, it's just a little thing, I mean, I don't think that when you join a forum called MyLionKing you plan to go make chat threads and make people ask you stuff, x)
It's not strict lol

I really wish I had posted more TLK back when I first joined, but then again, there wasn't anything that told me I should.

If rules like this are established it will not be long before more and more will be established until it turns toward one. Are you unaware that everything has consequences?

I've got an idea, let's take away all the rules cause they could lead the staff to set more rules. ALL USING TORA'S LOGIC, LOL.

And well, since consequenses so far aren't completly good, for the current way things are going, I think it worths a try to improve the conditions, right?
The argument is about regulating and placing limits on what people can post in.
That is my solution.
You are moving toward pointless threads.
And that, pointless threads, are the problem.
Setting strict rules when most people find the current system to be fine is definitely not right.
No, most people don't think the current system is right.

Problem Statement: Many new members are joining the forum and doing nothing but creating pointless threads in the den and member HQ.

Statement of Purpose: To reduce the number of pointless threads.

Solution 1: Prevent new members from being able to create OT threads until certain conditions have been met.

Solution 2: Change nothing, but continue to lock the pointless threads that are occasionally created.

Solution 3: Modify the rules so that members can be banned for creating threads that are deemed pointless.

Solution 4: ???

Wild assumptions and guesses, not really an argument.

:-o Seriously? Come back with something worth reading.

How bout solution 4:
Add spam to the list of rules; which it lacks.
Establish discipline for those that break the rules in place.
Problem solved.

^ That is solution 3.

And that's what I'd call a totalitarian system.
