I could get into a massive debate about that, but I guess I find myself instead giving you props for maturity in that you're supporting the adult forum knowing that won't be able to participate in it. That's pretty cool. ^^

I have to say No on this one. C'mon people! This is MyLionKing. We discuss The Lion King. Not mature content. And if this Adult Board goes through, atleast allow it to be one of those "Enter at your own risk" things for those under 18. And most of the members here are under 18 (to my knowledge) so it would seem a bit unfair not to let them see. I'd like to see it (I'm weird).

This is a friendly forum. My parents already don't like me being online so much (cuz they're overprotective!) and if they saw that there was an Adult Board here, they'd make me leave this site wether the under 18 members can veiw it or not. I don't wanna leave this site! The whole Adult Board thing just seems...strange. It just doesn't seem right =/

The simple fact is, that there are more mature aspects to TLK that would be nice to discuss. And if your parents are like that, then why really are you here in the first place? I've seen plenty of more mature things being dicussed on this board. If you weren't expecting a board with possibly some more content that you don't want to view, you shouldn't of joined a board that for the most part requires you to be 13+ to view. Not really seeing what your trying to get at, but it sounds like your just being selfish to yourself, because you want to be able to view the board. You gotta think of what the people who will be able to see the board would want. I won't be able to see the board eigther, but you don't see me complaining. So why are you?

By the way, where do you get the fact that most of the members are under 18?

Because she's saying what she thinks. I could care less about this whole debate, it's kind of useless. But I'd prefer MLK if we didn't have an adult board.

Can't hide children and teens from the world forever, though. They WILL eventually see adult content somewhere, whether it be on the internet or in real life. If they really don't want their children to see adult content then they should just forbid them from joining boards and only let them go on sites they trust, because adult content was bound to be posted sooner or later. Hence why kids under 13 need to sign that COPPA form.

Edit: Also, look at how maturely we handled this thread. We can definitely discuss mature content without yelling at each other all the time.

That totally is my opinion, too. (I still don't care if this will be created or not, though) When you are 13 or older, then you'll find out about adult things sooner or later. And it's not like they're killing you o.O

There's a different between stating an opinion, and misleading people with "facts" that aren't true.

I think you have it the other way around, mate. It's selfish to want to be able to have a forum for adult discussion at the expense of younger members not being able to be a part of the community, not the other way around.

I meant her specifically, look at her post. She was stating quite clearly the reason she didn't want the adult room is because she wouldn't be able to view it, which I view as selfish.

And I wouldn't be able to view the board, so I don't see it at selfish for people underage. As I said before, there's a reason in the first place why limits are set. While I would definately agree it'd be more fair to add people depending on how mature they act, and not their age.
