Adult board poll

How? It's not like all members 18+ would only post in the adult board (because the adults in this board are total creeps amirite? /sarcasm) I honestly agree with Flip. I won't be even able to get into the adult board but it still doesn't stop me from saying there should be one.

Now that I think about it even more I think it's kind of hard to make an informed decision if we have no idea what we're actually voting for. Doesn't it make more sense to let the staff (and members) come up with a cohesive and final idea of just what the forum is, how we're going to manage it, who sees it, what's in it, etc and then vote on it? There are versions of this forum that I would be completely against and ways of doing it I would encourage. But right now it's so vague I feel like every time I go to this topic I feel differently because I'm basically voting for a broad range of possible adult forums. :3

Honestly, I don't see any actually legit reason why there should be a problem with an Adult Room. The only people who seem to be going against it so far are the people upset because they won't be able to see it themselves. Which by the way, The Lion King doe have very dark themes in the first place, and at some points it's so violent/dark I wouldn't even consider it a kids film. There are quite a few things in the film that won't even be understood until your older. Honestly, Hunchback of Notre Dame is a "Kids Film", but there's not really any kids discussions you could even really have off of that film, because it's so dark, and was never really fully intended for kids in the first place. Also, this forum wouldn't really be a PG forum anyways, as I said before more towards PG-13, because you have to be 13 to join, or else you have to go through a lot of trouble to fill out a form, including your parents signature.

Nonetheless, regardless of whether on not we will discuss TLK in there, it is still worth having an area where we can discuss other things if not.
I mean I know of at least a few threads already that I would want to start, but at the moment can not... Or at least, would not want to try to, because it would probably be shot down for being "inappropriate". Some related to TLK, others not.

KP: If it is not concerning you then there is no good reason to be against it, as far as I can see. All you said was "why would anyone want to discuss anything else?", and I am just saying, because it is interesting, and I enjoy the talking lol.

Okay I know everyone is allowed in the graphics forum, but the principal remains the same. Just because there IS an 18+ area, does not mean that is the only area I will be posting in, therefore it would not separate us older members from the rest of the forum.^^
At least, I do not foresee it doing that.

Actually I didn't care about this for a long time. But I just thought about it again and there were like 20 things that came to my mind that could be discussed in there. So I'm totally pro Annie's Idea with the 16+ limit ^^

But, as already said, it still depends on your maturity and not on your actual age. (:/)

If MLK were to have an Adult Board, I think the Mods should just send out invites to people whom they think are mature enough. Just because you're 18+ doesn't mean you're automatically mature. And just because you're 18- doesn't mean you can't handle what would be discussed in an Adult Board. I know people who are in their 20s and act like they're 15. And I know 14 year olds who act like they're 17. ^-^

Jackass = Adult immaturity
Newsround (Kids news program) = Childish maturity

News, in depth discussion, 'adult' topics = Adult maturity
Trolls = Just...stupid childish immaturity

I can't remember who said it, but perhaps we do a trial and then vote again? Since we don't actually know what we're voting for.

Simple. Some people like to discuss adult themes.

Like Azd said, I think this should be discussed among the staff and then have a pole poll. It's not even sure how the adult area will even work.
