Sub-forums would be better, IMO. You immediately find what you're searching. MLK was really organised back when the off-topic board had sub-forums.

Oh really? I would have thought just adding the option for tags would have been easier, that is why I suggested originally to do it that way. But yeah, sub forums gets my vote then, in that case.

Yeah, if the tags were put into place we (ie. me) would have to edit each individual post. With sub-forums, I can just mass move them.
