If Palestine wishes to become a nation, it better start acting like one.

That will be rich, coming from a 'nation' that harbors, trains, and uses Terrorists.

Doesn't matter. Now that they are a state they can propose resolutions at the ICC

And no less than three of the five Big Players in the UN told Palestine not to do that. Which makes sense. You just became a nation, but are still desperate to make peace with Israel. What do you do? Anger it by taking it to court. Dat Logic.

Or to put it in another way: Even France, big supporter of Palestinian independence, told Palestine not to go to court.

And for once, I agree with France. Palestine has a right to exist just as much as Israel does. But it should see that the path to peace is more rewarding than taking Israel to court.

Although I disapprove of their actions against Israel, Palestine should be recognized as an independent state.

Don't mind me, I just find it funny after reading on the news how the U.S is against Israel building 3000 houses on the jordan west-bank in a nation that trains it's own children to carry bombs and commit suicide strikes.

No, but if the U.N. members are any smart, if Palestine will simply take its new nationhood and waste it, they shouldn't take it away to revoke Palestine's new status. Being a nation takes responsibility.

And what makes me sad, is that as much as Palestine has a right to exist, the UN still gave it nationhood just like that, without waiting for Palestine to prove that it is worth giving nationhood to.

I laughed so hard when Palestine became a sovereign state because Israel got SO pissed. A country founded on religious grounds, kicked out a bunch of people, started taking their belongings and ruining their lives. After that, they began to impose segregation laws and treated them like second class citizens. What next? Mass killings of villages because one or two of the peoples are considered "terrorists" out of a thousand. One might think I'm talking about Nazi Germany, but it's Israel. Funniest thing about the information age is that it's getting harder to hide atrocities from the entire world. Israel is committing war crimes and if they want to not be taken to court, then they will stop acting like Nazi Germany.

@ DGFone: I ask when did Israel start acting like a sovereign state. They get all their money, and weapons from the U.S. That does not sound like a sovereign state. That sounds like a baby who keeps crying for help and can't stand on its own two feet. Without America's help during the first huge war, Israel wouldn't have existed...so please tell me how Palestine is not a sovereign state, while Israel (while holding America's hand ALL THE TIME) is acting like a sovereign state.
Gone for good.
