Hurricane Sandy

Postby TheBlackCatCrossing » October 30th, 2012, 9:56 pm

Hey everyone!

I hope anyone here from the east coast is safe from that horrible hurricane. Our own cleargreenwater is from New Jersey. Let's hope she is okay!

I was watching this the other day on CNN, and wow. o_O
One of the worst storms/hurricanes I've seen, actually. Found a Radar for tracking it yesterday, and the eye of the storm was getting bigger. Hopefully the worst of it is over now, and the millions that are without power are okay and will get power back soon, because... just wow. >_> Hope everyone's okay. :c

There are those who complain about the wind, there are those who hope the wind will change, --though the wise-- the wise adjust their sails.

My cousin is over in New York. Her boyfriend coaches soccer there (they're both from England tho). It's pretty bad. She's right next to a lake and the water was up to her chest when the banks overfilled. She's got no power and water at the moment. Praying she's going to be ok, and that everyone else over there is too.

39 deaths, 8.2 Million without power.

This is devastating, especially because it hit cities like New York. Praying for all of the people over there! And any of our MLK Mebers that are there/near there, stay safe!

Did quite a number on my school, I'm home now. Soccer nets blown away, trees down, power out... Sandy's quite the strong, independent lady.

Sandy isn't a strong hurricane. Heck, Sandy is hardly a hurricane. It's just a really, really, really big tropical storm. If the northeast area actually got a hurricane, things would be a lot worse. Imagine storm surge 20 miles inland like with Katrina, but in NYC. It would be the worst natural disaster of the century.

I don't care if I have a billion dollars, I'll never be buying waterfront property, unless it is in Arizona.
