Are we alone?

Are we alone?

Postby Woeler » September 3rd, 2012, 9:59 pm

So the question is simple: Are we the only intelligent species in the universe? Is our planet the onlyone that contains life?

I personally think that we're not alone. There might be trillions of other inhabited planets in the universe. Life needs a complex combination of circumstances and molecule combinations. And even if that chance is very small, the universe is unimaginably big. If the biology and chemistry works here, it should on other planets too.

No. I do think it is possible there is extra-terrestial life out there in other galaxies.

It's impossible that we're the only intelligent life forms out there. There are so many stars, planets, galaxies out there that there's just no way we could be the only planet with some intelligence. We just haven't found them yet.

Yeah; there is definitely other life out there. We couldn't possibly be the only ones; considering there are other planets out there just like our own. :)

The greatest sign that intelligent life is out there is that they haven't contacted us.

Absolutely, they might have oil. They wouldn't want us to find out...

Compared to everything on this planet, yes we are (well there are some of us that aren't, but that might be an evolutionary defect lol)

How we use that intelligence is a completely different story...

From one debate to another, eh woeler? ;)

There probably is. At least, there is not intelligent life, like animals or living bacteria
