Surely I am not the ONLY one here buying, or at least interested in Vita?
For those who are not aware - its the new PSP - http://uk.playstation.com/psvitasystem/

Anyone else? Looks quite good I think...

I gave up on Sony a long time ago. Haven't checked out their recent projects, though. We'll see. :)

We press play, don't press pause.
Progress, march on.
With the veil over our eyes,
we turn our back on the cause.
'Till the day that my uncles can be united by law,
when kids are walking 'round the hallway plagued by pain in their heart.
A world so hateful some would rather die than be who they are.
And a certificate on paper isn't gonna solve it all,
but it's a good place to start.

I'll get a Vita, but probably not near launch.

The problem is that the Wii U is also coming this year. A new console takes priority over a handheld for me. (Plus, that thing looks amazing.)

Yep my birthday is Ferbruary 15th and it will be released February 22nd so I'll get the wifi version (actualy the only reason I want it is because of Uncharted Golden Abyss)

IDK whether to get the 3G version or not =/. Prolly will just because I am a nerd like that, but I already have my iPhone 4S for 3G internetz
Picking mine up today though, hopefully (time dependant) but if not I will have one at last by the end of the week at some point.

Got to say, at first I was not really bothered about getting one but now they are out, and a whole lot cheaper than I thought they would be (with the whole memory card situation in mind) I am, I wouldn't say excited but I am curious... Its either going to be really good or just blow absolute chunks, like the PSP and then end up being used once in a blue moon when the occasional good game comes out =/.

I played the PS Vita at Best Buy. It's very cool. It's certainly not perfect especially in some areas of design, but neither is the 3DS.

The graphics are top-notch, and I love the touch screen. I didn't play anything that used the backside touch pad. The main menu seemed really good. I did find the buttons to be too small in a lot of ways, but I'm sure I'd get used to it like any other controller/handheld.

I played Wipeout 2048 on it. It was fun, and I'll certainly consider getting a Vita after the Wii U. (which is coming later this year)

Yeah the unit is a little bit too big but it just about fits in most of my pockets okay. The buttons are tiny now you mention it, its like they were put on as an afterthought, the screen fills up the whole thing.

My only slight worry is the app "Near", it is so easy to stalk someone with it =0
Other than that, no real problems. The rear touchpad works pretty much as you would expect.

as for Wii - U, it looks to me like you need a WII to use it so thats that lol. (Not that I dont like the Wii, just dont have the time to keep up with more than one console at a time and prefer the PS3 =P)
