I jumped with joy and exclaimed loudly when I heard about it. This monster is finally dead.
But yes, I became quite worried about it after my head cooled down a bit. His son will assume the throne, and continue the reign. The political situation could worsen.
My worry was kinda confirmed when I heard the national news here on TV. (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xinwen_Lianbo) It said something like "the government deeply grieves for this great leader's passing away, who has always been our dear friend" and "we earnestly hope that, under the leadership of Kim Jong-un, the people of DPRK will continue the unfinished great political enterprise of Kim Jong Il" and worst of all,"his shining image will forever live in every Chinese people's heart." I know that this bunch of nonsense is due to many considerations, like the Communist ideology shared by the two countries, geopolitical consideration, and so and so. But it just feels so uneasy, reminiscent of the Ministry of Truth.
Anyway, I'm expecting the supposed Kim's funeral on Dec. 28. It sure gonna be a spectacle.
