Music for Japan

Music for Japan

Postby Arani » April 8th, 2011, 5:36 am

Alright, these people have had ENOUGH. Another earthquake? Come on, this is insane! But, sadly, there's nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do is pray for the Japanese. I pray for them every single night. Giving a minute of silence for them the moment I post this. Soon as you read this, please do the same.

With that being said, I'm following Lynx, but in a slightly diffent way. Lets all find music for them that resemble their will power and determination, and to show that we care. They really need it, even if they wont see it. Post it here! Here's mine for right now:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9tJW9MDs2M - I know not ALL of the lyrics fit, but pretty much all of them do.

(BTW, not saying I'm a huge JB fan, just saying I thought this song fits really well and it's among the few I like. Don't like to many of his other songs.)

God, please help these people.

Britain has made a cd for Japan. There futures Elton J. Beyoncei, Bon Jovi and other great artists.
The Album is called "Music Fror Japan" As far as I remember.

Some funky electro to keep spirits up... Maybe from Japanese artists too, like... (This song is dangerously addictive)
Capsule - Prime Time
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1EIwoyceh0

Utada Hikaru - Passion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUNIi1R-i9Y
Any song by her really.

The following three songs are about faith . religion, which in times like these is about all that is left. They do not represent my views in any way and are not being posted to influence.

Starfield - The Saving One

Kutless - What Faith Can Do
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTNBWv33-QI

John Waller - While I am Waiting
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb7TSGptd3Y

Might add more if I think of them lawl.
Also while on music, if ANYONE here wants to buy Japanese Music or even films - please use http://www.cdjapan.co.jp who are donating a good percentage of all profit to RedX for the Japan relief fund ^.^ I bought some Boom Boom Satellites albums from them, and the service / delivery is fantastic,

Anything by Miyavi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kEH7cphEODk
I went to see him a few weeks back, he did the most moving speech about Japan. Not one fan spoke a word when he asked for a silence and he raised a lot of money by hiring people to hold money buckets outside.

I really wish I could go out there and help, but with no money or experience, I feel so helpless. It's nice to do things like this, but I actually really want to make a difference, I just don't think I can.

Rise against - Help Is On The Way

The song is perfect for this situation. Rise Against is an amazing band that not only has awesome music, but makes compelling points in each of their songs.
