what has become of the world, i remember saturdays and sundays as a kid when it was decent: digimon, pokemon, beyblade, power rangers courage the cowardly dog, ed edd and eddy, heavy gear and a good few others it was when they made good shows.

i had to do a uni assignment looking at advertisement in and during kids shows. i looked on sky and looked all down the list and though 'wtf is half of this'. i gave up cause the shows were horrible and asked for a different assignment XD and now all it is is MLP MLP MLP

Agreed... I still remember a time when Digimon, CatDog and other shows still aired. Man, those were the days. I actually remember a time... when.. THE ORIGINAL MY LITTLE PONY WAS ON TV OH MY GOOOOOD

I remember that time as well! I think I even had some MLP episodes recorded on a VHS tape xD AAAH I do miss the good old days!

I did too, I didn't exactly like them though xB I never liked the original My Little Pony, the new one is better but still lacks something IMHO.

I didn't like the TV show that much but I had a little collection of ponies that I adored and played with a lot :3 They were so cute and colourful. Damn, I miss being a kid in the 90's =(

I showed my mum this thread and told her men like this cartoon and bless my dear old mother, the only thing she said, before walking away was "are they gay?"

Just know a good cartoon when we see one.

I honestly think that FiM is too good for the MLP name. Considering how terrifying the originals were.

I dont understand how people love MLP either to be honest lol. I havent watched it but isnt it a bit baby-ish? My mum would die if she knew I was watching it.

Not at all.

It's not like Dora the Explorer or things like that. It feels like a normal cartoon, the kind that anyone can watch and enjoy. And a really good one too. It's just has that darn MLP name that doesn't help with people's views on it. It doesn't question people's intelligence like a real baby show would. FiM, unlike the originals, is more than just about cotton candy and rainbows.

I guess it is ok. I think I saw an episode of the original and it totally put me off it but I then began to go on a MLP website a few years ago.
