I do believe after we die, we become spirits. :3

I do believe everyone has a soul/spirit. but not that we after death are free to wander arround the world for eternity, and be able to mess with living people and bother them as long as we want. this is done by demons only. demon = non-human evil entity that has never been human, and are most likely fallen angels.

Assuming ghosts/ demons are real at all, here's how I'm pretty sure it is.
Most of the time when ghosts appear, or are said to appear, they either do nothing and disappear, or they are threatening from the start.
Ghosts don't talk to people, and oftentimes, you can't see them, so they can't pretend to be your guides or ancestors.
And, furthermore, one wouldn't become "free to wander around the world for eternity" as you put it, as ghosts are almost always said to be people who couldn't let go of their life. This is typically someone with unresolved business, or who was murdered, and they are usually bound to one location, unable to leave.
If they're masquerading as your guide/ancestor, I'm fairly certain that they would have to be a hallucination.
Demons would have a more physical form than ghosts, and would more likely befriend you, until you considered them as a best friend or a lover, and then strike.

And forgive me if I come off as rude, but if you believe in demons, then why are you refuting ghosts?
Neither can be proven to exist.

Here I can't even disagree on NZ's first post and second post =/ sorry, but I do also believe in them (sorry to 'butt in' again XP) and what he says there is true. I'm not judging anyone's opinions or attacking them.

Everyone of us have a soul/spirit, how do you think we live then?
And after death we even don't wander around the planet, there are two places where we may go.
Demons are real, either it is proven or not, you can't see a demon because it'll NEVER show up to you, maybe in your dream he will (I'm not gonna lie, but I actually had a dream with a demon/Satan messing around with me).
