Can someone be inherently evil?

Morality is not that simple. You are oversimplifying it.
Who is this person? Why do they need help in the firet place?

On the contrary, I think you're overcomplicating it. Life is not made up of situations with extensive moral complications. It's almost always very simple. So in this situation, like the real world, that's all you know. There is a homeless person hungry on the street and you have food.

Philosophers haven't been thinking about morality for ages because it's ''simple''. It's far from simple. It's as complex as it gets.
I'm quite sure I'd give this person some food.

That's because we debate fringe, extreme situations that force complicated moral thinking. Unless you are a president or some other important leader (or a judge), you will rarely, if ever, face situations as complicated as those we debate. The morals we apply to everyday life are rarely complicated, are they?

But lets say they aren't complex. That still doesn't mean they are logical nor does it mean they make perfect sense in any way. It also doesn't mean they are universal at any given point.

There is no logic in morality unless you define ''morality''. Every single person on this planet defines ''morality'' in a different way. At no given point can person A rightfully judge person B by using person A's morality. It is not foolish to say that everyone should exhibit the same moral values. It is however, foolish to claim to know those values. Your moral values are just as ''wrong'' or ''right'' as Osama Bin Laden's, and there is no single argument that can destroy that claim, unless you define morality which takes you back to the start of this paragraph.

Yes, many people do believe it is moral to ''not hurt other beings'', but that doesn't mean it is true in any sense. It just means it's widely accepted.

I wasn't arguing morals, I was just curious about yours.

I know. I was just counter-arguing because I thought Regulus was using your comment as proof.

One man's evil is another man's good. It is ok in Islam to mass murder people for not believing what you believe, where as the rational person would consider it an "evil" thing to do. You can't answer this question with an objective answer.
Gone for good.
