Oh, I was so caught up in talk of Splice that I never listed my recent movies...

...then again, I haven't watched all that much recently. Aside from TLK, I did watch "Stardust" a few days ago (it's on DVD). Interesting movie, gave me a few laughs...I'd recommend watching it!
saw Balto for the first time a few minutes ago, not half bad, even though its very late at night i figured i would watch the 2nd one until i found out that there was a third one, so im just going to wait until the mourning to watch the next 2
Finnished the 2nd one, it cant compare to the first one but over all it was a ok movie. I think that the major advantage the first one had over the second one is that there were actually humans in the first one and it wasnt just a bunch of animals (which projected to a much smaller audience), the first one also has an advantage in that it was based off a true story. One thing i dont like is they compleatly changed the vocies (although i would be surprised if after 7 years they got the original cast together), there was really only 1 different voice that bothered me and that was Jenna's, she seemed to have a slightly different personality.

It also almost killed me when i learned that the real life Balto was taxidermied and is on display.

Anyway im going to start on watching the third one now since it wasnt as late last night when i watched the first Balto.

EDIT: a few seconds into the 3rd one and i remembered i forgot to rant about this: I also loved that the first one didnt forcus on musid (none what-so-ever actually) but it seemed the the 2nd one they forced themselves to put music in which didnt quite fit it altogether (except maybe "Who You Really Are")

Once again i still enjoyed the 3rd one more then the sencond one, i still think its true how its better when its not purely based off of animals and when they throw a few humans into the mix. And while they still definitly tried to put music in i think that they did a much better job then in the 2nd film in pulling it off.

while the 2nd one i would say was kinda confusing it was still a good movie on its own. I would say that the 2nd one just cant compare to the 1st and the 3rd one.
