What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

I usally avoid horror movies, so I can avoid nightmares, but I have watched a few.
Drag me To Hell- This wasn't really SCARY scary, but more disturbing scary.
The Perfect Storm- Watched it once when I was younger and something about it scared me so much that I swore I would never watch it again. Never have.
The Grudge- I haven't seen the whole thing, but the few scenes I have seen creeped me out enough to consider not watching it.
And
The needle pit scene in SAW 2- I was actually considering watching the movies before I watched this. Not anymore! It tapped into one of my worst fears in a big way. *Shudders*
I am also a big fan of: Phantom of the Opera, High School Musical, Harry Potter, Disney in general, Days of Our Lives, musicals in general, Dr. Seuss in general and the Grinch.

I haven't watched a movie that particularly scared me apart from a few jumps (Excluding Saw, but it was more disgusting and disturbing than actually scary. It's pathetic, really), but I've seen a scene from Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the original) and it looks rather frightening.

Does a movie I've heard of count? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1702443/

Also, lol @ people saying that The Ring and Exorcist are scary. They were more like Mystery movies to me, rather than Horror movies...

^LOL

I would say Final Destination. After seeing it, I kept thinking of all the bad things that could happen to me just like the kids in the movie. Normals object conspiring to kill you is pretty scary stuff for a first grader.

I actually have 4 movies that still to this day absolutely terrify me. I don't get scared from movies much, but these movies are just so dang scary.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - God, the first time I watched this movie, I was shaking like hell. It just scared me that much. The lack of soundtrack, and the surprising twists in it really scared the crap out of me.
Candyman - Mainly for the Candyman's voice... goodness, does it give me nightmares...
Hellraiser - OH. MY. GOD. The first time I ever watched this movie, was at like 1am... I was dead tired, and it scared the crap out of me. Though oddly enough, unlike most people might think, Pinhead has very little to do with the movie. lol
and finally, the movie that takes the cake...
Requiem for a Dream - Not really a scary movie, but the movie is still absolutely, and totally terrifying. Mixed with a really eerie soundtrack, and an overall plot that will make you weep for all of humanity, this film definitely tops my list. It's actually my favorite movie of all time now, too.

none of these stupid horror movies scare me. however, certain horror movies that are based on true stories such as The Rite (with Anthony Hopkins) kinda give me a eerie feeling. especially if it were possible in real life at all.

but the avarage american horror movie were typically a boy and a girl having sex are being stalked by ''something'' in the bushes? nope... -.-

When I was younger, the scariest for me was Child's Play. Now, they would probably be The Grudge and The Exorcist. :cold:
