Anyways, the election! Does anybody have a good idea of Romney's economic plans beyond repealing the ACA?

That's lovely! I respond with the question that Democrats and Republicans alike are so curious about: Does anybody have a good idea of Romney's economic plans beyond repealing the ACA? There's nothing but ideology and vague promises (mitt's speciality, if you'll excuse the jab. look at his history). He's not doing so hot on specifics.

And the specifics I do see I don't like. Lower corporate income taxes by 25%, refuse to lower defense budget, etc.


I wonder how Romney would fare with a democrat controlled senate/house.

I think his entire campaign is based on being the Republican "not Obama" guy... he's hoping dissatisfaction with the economy will drive voters away from Obama and towards the opposite party/candidate... It's a clever strategy, but ultimately very bad for the country.

So...who is going to watch the Republican National Convention this week? And the Democratic National Convention next week?

What we need to do is run the elections as normal. I don't care who will win, because I don't care who will win...

Because immediately after these elections, we need to fire every elected official. Then run the elections again as quickly as possible. Fire those guys too. Rinse and repeat at least five times, until the only people left running are those who thought twice about where their loyalties lie - the people, or money. If they want money... fire them as well.

I honestly think that Obama is going to win solely on the basis of him being the incumbent, and that Romney isn't right for the job. Raising taxes is no different than cutting tax cuts. Either way people aren't going to like it.
