So playing AC 2 is NOT a good way to get an idea of how the upcoming third one might be? Well of its not sure you can see how me who has only sued the first one might think so.
I never said that you had to play AC1 to get an idea. I did not enjoy the first one very much anyway... too repetitive. I only said that I had played that one. Playing AC2 is a great way to get an idea of how the latest one might be like. I just commented that it might be an idea to play Brotherhood and Revelations as well because they are more recent and also if you do care about the story then they would help make AC3 much clearer. (Brotherhood and Revelations are pretty much AC 2.5 and AC 2.75)

Implying it's okay to kill people if they're not British.

I've been playing AC2 this weekend and I barely understand the story at all, but the game is actually pretty fun.

Just finished playing through ACII tonight. It was really fun at first, but towards the very end it started to get a bit annoying and repetitive. That being said, I'm going to start playing through Brotherhood tomorrow, because the story is pretty freaking epic. Overall, it took me over a week to play through it all, and I hardly got bored, which is a very good thing coming from me. I haven't really enjoyed gaming as much lately, especially single player, but this was easily an exception.

I bought all the games except the first on Steam for super cheap a few days ago while they were on sale. While I'm sure the PC versions are far better, I have to admit that the controls definitely feel like it's a port from a console game. The whole targeting system, and especially menu navigation, feel totally out of place with a mouse and keyboard... but I like my 1080p with 2xAA at 60fps. :P

The trouble will be waiting for the late November PC release of ACIII, but I still have Brotherhood and Revelations to play through first so I think I can manage.

Please come home for Christmas, we miss you already!
Checked a few reviews, seems fairly positive so far. Think it comes out tomorrow here.

The beginning is very slow-paced, but so far it's great.
That new engine they used for the game is quite something!
