It's basically about this guy that falls in love with this girl and they go out and blah blah, but then she has cancer and dies. But I didn't ruin it for you, you're informed of this since the first chapter, so the book is just about the memories the guy has and stuff.

Yeah, I guess there is an English translation somewhere, but I don't know the official translated title. The author is Kyoichi Katayama, and I think people in Japan liked it so much that there's a manga, a movie, and a TV series based on it.
If you ask me, it wasn't that good.

I read the Big Four by Agatha Christie recently, it's a great mystery novel ^.^ and really really funny

It was a magazine, not a book but it was that fashion magazine called "Seventeen". It's onen of those girly lastest fashion magazines with all those nasty purfume samples that mae your eyes water and sneeze. xD
