But people could start making plush robot toys that might take over the world.

For the sake of humanity and its future, please stop talking.

So you believe that greed is more powerful than love, Woeler. We disagree about the nature of humanity on the most basic level, therefor we can never agree. Ten thousand acts of kindness and one murder: I'll hear the kindness and you'll hear the murder.

I'm surprised you're so willing to give up on the world. You're seventeen. You don't know as much as you think. Keep an open mind. We're kids, neither of us have figured everything out, so why close your mind to the possibility of improving the world? That would be unreasonable, and you hate being unreasonable.

Only in your imagination. Computers are far too limited to be able to take over the world. Heck, robots can't even tell the difference between the leg of a human and the leg of a table.

As a matter of fact, greed is more powerful than love. Look at this world, does it look like love is more powerful than greed? We are animals, we were not even designed to love. We were however, designed to kill. Not that we need to do that anymore, but it is still in our basic instincts. For example: marriage is one of the most unnatural things we do, in fact, killing someone is more natural than marrying someone.

The example you give with the thousand good acts and a murder is simple to decode. If good acts are done and they reach the news, we will see them and we will appreciate them, however, when a murder will be shown on the news, people will react differently. Things like fear, empathy, anger and sadness will start to appear. Simple drama has a bigger impact on our lives than our happiness or the happiness of others. A 1000 good things will still not cancell out the consequences of one murder. Happiness is temporary, bad things ALWAYS have permanent consequences.

People differ, period. They will always fight over Differences. There is nothing more typically human than proving our superiority.

Life is not rainbows and unicorns and love is not the almighty savior. We simply are creatures of greed

You do it your way, I do it mine I guess. I certainly look at the world and see the problem as the greed and misguidance of a small number of powerful people, not the majority.

So why don't we test your theory? People on here: would you rather kill someone or love and be loved by someone?

I've been reading the whole thing between Azdgari and Woeler, and both bring up some fair points. I mean, I'm a dumb blonde and I'm not the most intelligent, but I believe that all humans have the capability to kill, to be greedy, to be cruel, and to love. And Az, I'd definitely want to love and to be loved, but say someone killed your lover? Would you feel that spark of revenge, maybe even to kill the murderer? Meh. I probably made no sense and made myself look like an idiot, but oh well.

You know woeler1, not everyone is bad. Maybe if someone killed a loved one I would get mad at them for quite a bit of time. But people can change; soon enough i would forgive them and give them another chance since everyone should have the chance to be forgiven.
