I read the first book, borrowed it from the library. Honestly, I struggled to turn each page. It was just so boring I was like ugh kill me now. The one part that was a tiny bit interesting was the end when Bella was like 'turn me into a vampire' and edward was like 'ok' and then he was like 'lol joke'
ughhhHHHHhH D<< if he had at least sucked her neck i suppose i would have been like ok the book wasn't total rubbish but it was.

I never even tried the movies, my mum and brother love them and have watched them many times but i'm like get that filth out of my house ok
so yeah
it sucks

I don't like the series. I'm just not interested in vampire/werewolf stories. Sometimes I am if it's either a cheesy old movie, a good old movie that's not scary, or a funny cartoon, but not a serious ones like this.

Before the movies, I saw the books advertised, and I thought "Okay, it's a book series people like. That's cool for them." and I didn't think much about it, but when the movies and all the hype came about, it started to drive me nuts. It's the same with any movie I'm not interested in that people go nuts about.

I did semi watch the first one with my mom (her watching it and me on the computer looking once in awhile and asking questions), but it didn't really do anything for me. I can't stand how Bella always has that same old emotionless look on her face. Boring!

But, another thing that bothers me is how the fans are treated. They have every right to like it, and they shouldn't be made fun of for it. It bothers me almost as much as the hype of the movies themselves. It seems like when the subject of it comes up online, the majority of people hate it, so when I see someone who does, I think to myself "Good for them! They can like what they want." But, it's hilarious when people make fun of the movies and characters themselves.

^ I completely agree when it comes to the fans. I don't hate on people for liking it because they can do what the want [ though i do mock my family for liking it, but i'm not mean about it i'm just kidding and they know that ]. I do wonder what the find so appealing though. I don't care about the fans, my opinion is only about the series itself. The only qualm i would have with the fans is if they got in my face for disliking it and tried to force me to like it or something. Poor Twilight fans.

^LOL! Okay, I'd actually watch Twilight over Dora the Explorer.
Anyway... Here are my thoughts:

Back in grade 8 or something, I saw the first Twilight movie and HATED it! I was convinced it was the worst piece of crap ever! Which, in many cases, it is. So I totally didn't get why my friend Anna was obsessed with it. Heck! I'd even tried to read the book and had only read a few pages!

Then a friend of mine made me watch New Moon because, and I quote, it was "so awesome"! Boy! Was she wrong! Honestly, I think that's the worst movie of them all! It's all about Bella being depressed and NOTHING happens! Honestly, they could've skipped straight to Eclipse!

Anyway... Eclipse was in theatres around the time I was moving. So I went to see it so that I could spend some time with my friends before I moved.... Now, you know all those romantic scenes where people went "aww"? ... I laughed. XD

It wasn't till I got to Canada that I rewatched all the movies, and I found something to appreciate about them. I ignored Edward, Bella and Jacob. Because they are so freaking annoying! If they died, I wouldn't even care!
Anyway... I found characters I liked, and even loved! Carlisle and Esme (Edward's "parents") have to be the sweetest characters in the story! I also love Alice for her quirky'ness and Jasper for... well, actually acting like a vampire.
My appreciation for Emmett and Rosalie is not as big as those characters, but they're amusing too!

Anyway, me not liking Twilight. Started writing fanfiction for it (and trust me, I've read fanfiction that tell a better story than the entire saga), hoping I could improve it. I don't know if I did or not cause mostly my fanfics are AU (alternate universe). Anywayyy... I actually loved the characters of Carlisle and Esme. They just made me happy!

The others... not so important. And the series itself? HORRIBLE! But I found that one thing I enjoyed, which improved the movies several times more! Now, I still can't stand Bella... or Edward or Jacob for that matter. But I did find something I could appreciate.

I have more thoughts on this subject, but I'll just edit my post later cause I need to go for a walk with my bestie haha!
