Vegetarianism?

HA! LOLZ.

[s]Wait... that wasn't a joke?[/s]

(No offensive if you are a vegetarian... I just think the concept is lame, myself.)

I've been thinking about going vegetarian because I love animals a lot and am disgusted by the way most of them are treated, and to be honest I don't even like meat all that much. I think it's a bit overrated.

Eh, I'd probably turn into a vegetarian if I didn't detest vegetables. =P I dunno, I despise the way animals are treated in slaughterhouses... but giving up all meat just because of that is a bit too much, I wouldn't be bothered (as much) if I knew the animal had a nice life. I generally respect those who decide to be vegetarians/vegans for whatever reason, though. I'm thinking of turning into a pescetarian myself... (Consuming fish instead of meat.) Mostly health reasons... and because I just like fish so much more.

I could imagine eating fish and chicken only, not sure if there's a term for that lol.

Unfortunately, at least over here in the US, fish is more expensive than meat.

Thanks for the responses everyone. :)

Flipmode - Good point! I've never watched those videos because I want to maintain the illusion that what I enjoy eating wasn't brutally murdered. :ehh2:
Oh man, back when I was a veggie, I would pick the meat off my sandwich or slice of pizza or what have you whenever my family and I went to eat at someone else's house. And whenever we'd eat out, we'd order our food without meat. Was probably confusing for the poor people in charge of making the food, lol.

Amanda - *high fives* :3 It's pretty splendid, heheh.

Maleficent - Mucho respeto. :) I think that's noble of you.

Noahcs - Haha, nice. XD Zebra... doesn't sound that bad, actually. :P

DGFone - Bahaha, that's awesome! Cows can be pretty mean (and annoying), but at least they're tasty!

Yakko -
Image
AdAstra - Good luck if you decide to make the transition! According to my parents, who became vegetarians in their teens, it's something you get used to after a while. They've told me the thought of eating meat makes them sick nowadays.

KopsTheTerminator - Good luck to you as well! I didn't know there was a word for that! I think that's what my grandma is. She just can't give up fish. XD

Lol, poultryfishanism. If that isn't a word already, it should be; I know quite a few people who could call themselves poultryfishanians(?).

StormySeethe - I've noticed that as well. 'Tis a darn shame because fish is delicious (imo)!

I CAN SEE YOU EATING ALIVE FISHES, MY CHINESE COMRADE.

I dunno, I just get used to it, I like meat and dislike vegetals, I think it's sad all these things that happens inside those slaughterhouses, but I just think about I'm already used to eat meat, and that just don't changes me, I see those animals like being in a designed destiny, beaing killed and eaten, because of that, I think I don't care the enought about it as to become on a vegetarian, this is my style of life, and I don't plan to change it, but I think it's ok too for those who are vegetarians, dislike meat, it's their taste, or maybe their view, I just keep the mine x).
