I just bought the books at a yard sale for barely nothing, along with a bunch of other books. I am going to read them and give them a chance because I feel I can't truly have an opinion without reading the books. I find the movies to be awful though. And Bella... I don't know how I will survive 4 books of her, but I am going to try. Perhaps the books are a bit better.

But seeing as I am kind of dreading it due to the various things I've heard, I'm pretty sure I'll be bringing them back to the yard sale next year to be sold.

^ She isn't the only one though, several of the people here gave the series a chance and just didn't like it. I read all of the books, and watched most of the movies, I consider that to be giving it a chance. I don't think any of us here decided not to like it without reading or watching at least some of them. It's ok for you to like them, but please don't act like everyone who doesn't dislikes the series unjustly.

I might actually like Twilight one little bit more if it wasn't all about that annoying rivalry between that mutt-boy and a glittering vampire who are forever quarreling about a girl they both like.

Twilight is a crappy movie that girls pretty much pass out because that shinny vampire shines. I thought Vampires are dark and black and not shine like the day light.. That is a pretty dumbass thing to add in a movie.

Also this takes the piss out of the whole vampire legend with stupid facts n other crap.

For example.
Vampires DO NOT shine. They are black and dark and usually dress in black. Not in school or casual clothes.
Vampires do not go to school, Their fathers teach them to hunt.
Vampires do not go out in the day time because the sun is harmful.
Vampires have a thirst of blood. I am surprised that i didn't even see one person get bitten, more than that. I am more surprised that everyone isn't dead.
Vampires turn into bats to fly. They don't fly like superman.

I do admit i did pass out, Only with boredom.
I don't know what the hell i was thinking about wasting $17 on a movie that is so dull and has NOTHING to do with the proper vampire legend.
