Okay, so first of all, if you don't know already, this is PETA.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) (stylized PeTA) is an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, and led by Ingrid Newkirk, its international president. A non-profit corporation with 300 employees and two million members and supporters, it claims to be the largest animal rights group in the world. Its slogan is "animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment."
To be perfectly honest, I never really liked them to begin with. They have many annoying advertisements, and most of which are too 'inappropriate' for me to even be able to post here. Here's one of their less offensive ads:
So that's basically what they do. They literally oppose our 'use' of animals in every form.
Now, that in itself is kinda up for debate, because I view that mainly as being just a part of the circle of life and all.
But that's actually not where I'm going with this.
A few days ago, I was browsing the internet, and I came across this. Before clicking the link, please beware that what you're about to see is very graphic. There are pictures of dead animals -> http://imgur.com/gallery/q5awp
When I first saw that, I didn't know what to think. Why would an animal rights activist group be killing so many animals? Is that even what was actually happening?
It turns out that part of PETA's philosophy is that we should kill animals, instead of making them suffer for our needs.
Yet, nowhere on their website did it ever say that.
Now, since then, there's apparently been a whole lot of commotion going on. I tried to look into it as best as I could, and, in a nutshell, what I found appears to be true.

Then, there's this:

To some extent, I can understand the necessity of the situation. There are many more cats and dogs in the world than could ever be adopted, so naturally, this is what is inevitable.
In fact, the overpopulation of outdoor cats is upsetting the balance of the ecosystem in some places, because they kill birds and squirrels and such. There is, no doubt, more to the story than that.
Yet, what's surprising is that it's an animal rights group doing this. All of that money that they get from donations isn't going towards helping the situation.
It's a scam. As many of us here are animal lovers, I figured this was worth sharing.
