There's a woman in USA who's doing the exact same thing, can't remember her name at the moment, but she has 2 young kids as well. And an idiot for a husband. It's disgusting.

Without meaning to sound stereotypical I believe the current record holder is an American. Could be wrong though, I think I read somewhere that she is in Texas... I can not link to the article though, its not exactly appropriate fro this web site cause it was a bit randy.

I think the article said this woman IS American, I believe she might be the same as the woman in Texas others are thinking of. I sincerely HOPE I read that right and she is, because I would hate there to be 2 people doing the same messed up thing.

Yeah....this is freakish. It's self-destruction at it's most bullish and stupid when the person believes they're "sticking it" to someone doing self-harmful stunts like this.

And the husband should be arrested and/or at least fined for not getting help for a potentially fatal EATING DISORDER--they aren't just for thin people!

Because at the level this is at, the husband should try replacing the word "food" with "crystal meth" and see how that sounds. "She loves using and I love making it so!..." It's an addiction just like it, I don't think it's an inaccurate comparison.

And see, that's the other thing that's so sad about the o.p. I just clicked around looking at that other lady in AdAstra's post (with sadness, because I used to live in Old Bridge, lol,) and she's since had to abandon her "goal" for the time being because she broke up with her boyfriend/hubby/whatev. This newly wed couple are very far from that point. It's a terrible "goal" to have in life and entirely appalling that its one there's people actually willing to encourage people in D: Not the least because that means it's NOT just an isolated freak here & there.

Honestly I just find people like these "record challengers" grotesque.

Nah but seriously, one can only hope that this makes her realise what it is she's doing, and maybe even realise that there's more to life than beating some dumb old record. I don't understand how anyone can want to do this, especially if they have children. It's just bizarre.

Why? Just... why? Why would you do that, and like people have said... Those poor kids having to watch their mother eat herself to death.

I think the fiancee shouldn't encourage her. Yes he says he makes sure she gets her exercise, but she's still fat, eating all the wrong foods and killing her heart. I think they both need serious help because this is disgusting and the fiancee should be helping her to slim down, not bulk out. So yes, I think he should be prosecuted if she dies and I don't think she'll last to long before her heart gives out.
