Seriously, no skyrim thread? Who else loves this game?

There is a Skyrim thread
viewtopic.php?f=158&t=20530
And an Elder Scrolls series thread viewtopic.php?f=158&t=18743

As you can probably guess, as I created both of the previous threads, I love Elder Scrolls. Been a fan ever since the third one, but did go back and play the first ones too. The series really took it to another level with Oblivion, the level of freedom and scope of the game is still unmatched by any other series that I can immediately think of.

As for Skyrim, I dont find it "quite" as good as Oblivion, it is more polished but it did not really draw me in, I think the jump in quality from 3 to 4 was so big that 5 did not really have the same impact. But it is fantastic though, I love the new combat options. Some stuff they changed and wished they didnt (armour no longer needing to be repaired), and there was no dragon flying, Dark Brotherhood was nowhere near as good and varied as Oblivion >.<.

But yeah I still do love it overall though, just need to get back into it I think. I finished the main story, most of the dark brotherhood and some other, started hunting and killing the dragons and dragon masters... Or whatever those over powered guys whose masks you collect were called... And then I kind of fell off the wagon and went back the Gran Turismo lol. Will have to fire it up tomorrow on my day off and see what I can do =D

I love Bethesta games. Oblivion rekindled my love for gaming last year and I played it for atleast 200 hours D= I absolutely loved it. The story was fantastic. So much to do and so many great quests. The darkbrother hood quest was my all time favourite ^___^

I love Skyrim too. The graphics and detail are AMAZING and again, the story, though shorter than Oblivion is excellent.

Out of the two, I don't know which is my favourite, but I think I played Oblivion more...

Would love to play Morrowind at some point too..

Hmm. I've played Oblivion, Skyrim and a bit of Morrowind, and while I enjoyed RPing around in Skyrim and messing around with mods, I was honestly kinda disappointed. A lot of the quests felt lacking, short and predictable (Other than the Dark Brotherhood quest, loved that one though it was nothing compared to the Oblivion Brotherhood) and I wasn't interested in the whole Dovahkiin storyline in the least. Not many (if any) consequences for your actions either. I mostly just RPed by myself as a loner in the wilderness with various mods to help. I loved the graphics but I much, much preferred Oblivion quest-wise. Game felt really unfinished, but hopefully DLC will fix this. =/

Any PC gamer have the Warzones - Misanthropy Pure mod? :3 Adds a lot to the game IMO.

I enjoyed Skyrim, I thought it was fun. ^^
But like Kops I thought it felt unfinished and pretty much everything else she said. :/
The quests bored me after a while. And in all, I just really really preferred Oblivion.

I got Skyrim recently and I'm really impressed. This is saying something because most games disappoint me and I lose interest. I can play that game for hours and feel like I'm really there. The storyline is great, especially since it allows a lot more freedom than other video games. I also like the amount of character customization that is allowed.

Skyrim is the first of the Elder Scrolls series that I've even touched or heard of, and I was still able to jump right in and play, despite knowing nothing of the races, story, etc. I attached a picture of my game character. I picked Khajiit just because I like the cats and I was able to make him look kind of like my fursona lol.
