I don't care if my country needs the oil (which it does not btw because I live in the Netherlands). The oil just happens to be there? HAHA, that's very funny indeed. The fact is that the US government could not care less about Kony and his actions.

There was no social media needed for Saddam Hussein to get killed? There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. No of course the US government knew all the time that social media would pop up (because they can look in the future) and then they decided to spread the word now. Years after Kony started. If they wanted to stop him they should have done it way earlier. Now many lives are already lost.

There is no universal term like ''order'' and ''normal'', they are just terms for us to define our OWN standards of living. We once ran around killing each other 700 years ago, we made sacrifices, we slaughtered and we killed innocent people. that was defined as ''normal''. If we really think that we should lose lives to teach people ''you MUST live like us'' then we are one stupid people indeed.

I'm with Woeler on some of his points. Turns out the amount of oil that's in Uganda, upon research, is completely trivial, so that sort of defeats the whole "We just went to get their oil" argument. However, I do agree that the timing is strange. It's not like the US didn't know what was happening until Obama checked his facebook and was like "gosh look at this KONY guy". He was aware of what was happening and he chose not to act until now. The only think I can think of is social pressure? But that seems somewhat unlikely...
